Under the new anti-money laundering rules, customers can pay their bills by bank card without presenting an identification document when paying bills for taxes, duties and fines as well as when paying the price of goods or services up to HUF 300,000. However, customers will need to present their identification documents for cash payments of the price of goods and services above the threshold of HUF 300,000; in other cases without a threshold, and when posting international postal orders above HUF 300,000.

The prices of postal services are changing slightly from 16 January. Magyar Posta Zrt. is changing the prices of some services from 16 January 2018. The average price rise is 3 per cent, in line with annual inflation. However, the prices of a number of services remain unchanged.
